Job summary

Walters Recycling and Refuse Inc. is seeking a Rear Load CDL Truck Driver in Blaine, MN. You will be responsible for completing route pickups, moving containers safely, and documenting each stop with photos. This safety‑sensitive role requires active DOT health card and a valid CDL (Class A or B).

Starting pay is $26.00–$32.48 per hour, with stay-on bonus opportunities up to $10,000. Expect to work varied hours, including weekends, and operate in all weather conditions.

• A valid CDL (Class A or B) with no air brake restriction is required.

Responsibilities

• Routes may require navigating through congested communities and tight areas; backing skills are essential.
• Complete service pickups on the daily route as designated on the route sheet.
• Read and understand maps, complete daily driver logs, and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Work in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold, rain or shine.
• Take clear photos of bulk items and document them properly at each site.

About the role:

TheRear Load CDL Truck Driversareassigned to a designated route each workday. The Driver is responsible to complete a service pick-up at each customer designated on the daily route sheet.

As aRear Load CDL Truck Driveryou will be required to get out of the truck at EVERY stop to move the container to and from the truck to dump it safely. Once the container/cart is placed by the truck the tipper/hydraulics lift the container into the truck. You could be handling bulk items such as chairs, mattresses and couches.

This position is Safety Sensitive. It requires drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 382, this includes marijuana. This position also requires an active DOT health card. To get a DOT health card, candidates must have a valid Minnesota Drivers License.

Responsibilities:

• Routes may require drivers to navigate through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city and suburban locations, backing skills are essential. Our drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customers.
• Required work hours may be up to the legal limits allowed and may require weekend on holiday weeks.
• Drivers must be able to read and understand a map, complete daily driver logs as well as pre and post trip truck inspections.
• This position will require you to work in all weather conditions including extreme hot or cold, wet or dry conditions.
• Upon arriving at the site, the driver should take clear photos of the bulk items being picked up and ensure the bulk items are documented properly.
• Confirm that the pickup is marked as complete in the routing software.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be over 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) with no air brake restriction is required to be held and maintained at all times during employment.
• Mapping Skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and sitting for long periods of time
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT health evaluation, and physical assessment.
• This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements in compliance with 49 CFR Part 382, this does include marijuana testing.
• Ability to get in and out of the truck at every stop to move the container in place to safely dump.
