Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino seeks a Networking and Real-time Streaming Engineer to design and implement features for the real-time networking stack used by AirPlay, FaceTime, and SharePlay across Apple platforms.

The role focuses on building high-performance video/audio streaming systems, optimizing for variable network conditions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A BS in CS/Engineering and strong C/C++ skills are required; WebRTC/SRTP/RTCP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient in C, Objective-C, or C++.
• Experience building real-time video/audio streaming systems (SRTP/RTCP, WebRTC, SRT, SFrame, QUIC/HTTP3).
• Strong understanding of network protocols and behavior under varying conditions (packet loss, jitter, latency, FEC, RTX).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features for Apple's real-time networking stack for AirPlay, FaceTime, and SharePlay.
• Improve core functionality driving real-time media applications across Apple platforms.
• Show a proven track record in network programming.
