Job summary

Micron Technology in the United States is seeking a Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Technology Development Engineer. You will learn defect detection equipment and apply data analysis to fix process issues, accelerating learning cycles and technology transfer across Technology Development.

This role partners with process integration, process development, data science, and yield analysis, supporting experimentation, baseline metrics, and defect improvement with global impact.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques.
  • Experience with inspection data analysis (EBEAM, X-ray, Laser or Optical Systems).
  • Ability to apply and use basic Data Science and Data Manipulation (scripting, coding, or programming).
  • We need an engineer drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutions thar are presented clearly.
  • Ability to investigate process anomalies, root cause analysis, data manipulation, and correlations.
  • Proactive and passionate about learning (training and coursework).
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive effective change in an energizing environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and analyzing experimental process flows looking for defect anomalies and quarantining process tools that are out of control
  • Possess a continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference today!
  • Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with the motivation of “who needs to know this now!”
  • We want our engineers to use inline process signals to drive process improvements
  • Work with new inspection tools and strategies to drive towards earlier detection of problems and identify the sources
  • Build and improve upon techniques and identify new ways to use existing tools in order to identify relevant process issues

  • Demonstrated combination of flexibility and tenacity in the pursuit of goals
