Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Real-Time Software Engineer in Arlington, VA to design, develop, and integrate real-time software for electronic warfare systems. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to implement high-performance signal processing on ARM and other platforms.

The role emphasizes real-time C/C++ on multi-core systems, Linux/RTOS, MATLAB integration, and hardware interfaces. Active TS/SCI clearance is required; onsite work in Arlington, VA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 4+ years software development experience with Python, MATLAB, or C++.
• Strong OO design and understanding of hardware/software interaction.
• Experience with Linux and/or RTOS, and with hardware interfaces (PCIe, UART, Ethernet).
• Experience with build tools (GCC, CMake, Make) and version control (Git, SVN).
• Experience with CI tools (Jenkins) and software testing; ability to document software.
• Ability to communicate concepts and designs within a team; eagerness to learn new tech.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of advanced systems within cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and test real-time C/C++ software for multi-core Linux or RTOS.
• Integrate software with third-party libraries and RF hardware; configure devices.
• Interface with standards/protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DDS; read MATLAB algorithms.
• Document systems and support field testing events, usually annually.
