Leidos is seeking a Real-Time Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate real-time software for Electronic Warfare applications in Arlington, VA. Join a team delivering high-performance signal processing on ARM and other platforms.

You will work with Linux/RTOS, MATLAB algorithms, and multi-core systems while interfacing with RF hardware and external frameworks. The role requires a Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI, with a strong background in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or related field.
• 4+ years of software development with Python, MATLAB or C++.
• Strong object-oriented design.
• Hardware-software interaction and basic computer architecture.
• Experience with hardware interfaces (PCIe, UART, Ethernet).
• Experience with GCC, CMake, Make.
• Version control (git, Subversion) and CI tools (Jenkins).
• Software testing and technical documentation experience.
• Must have active Secret clearance and eligible for TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of advanced systems in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Design, implement, and test real-time C/C++ software for multi-core Linux/RTOS.
• Build software using third-party math and communication libraries.
• Interface protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS.
• Read MATLAB algorithms and adapt them to real-time systems.
• Work with Linux and RTOS environments.
• Configure and control RF hardware via software.
• Integrate software into third-party frameworks like Redhawk.
• Document developed systems and support field testing events.
