Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Sensor/EW Software Engineer for the EMSO Platform & Training Branch in Tucson, AZ. You will advance real-time software across radar, EO/IR, EW systems, leveraging C/C++, Python, and MATLAB while supporting mission systems, CI/CD, and containerized deployments.

Ideal candidates bring experience in API development, distributed systems, and collaboration with vendors. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of software development, integration, or RF engineering experience.
• Experience with C, C++, C#, Python, and/or MATLAB; strong software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer of real-time software development tasks and define requirements.
• Author technical journals and present project reports.
• Coordinate with sponsors and external vendors; mentor teammates.
• Integrate third-party RF software into mission systems and support interoperability.
• Prepare documentation and support software deployment across environments.
