Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Renewable Energy Forecasting in the United States. The role oversees real-time meteorological and power forecasting projects for asset owners, utilities, and market participants within a DaaS environment.

The position offers hybrid work (3 days on-site) at UL offices nationwide, with fully remote options if no nearby office is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, CS, math, physics or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of customer-facing project management in renewable energy or technical environments.
• Experience with renewable energy forecasting, energy markets, or meteorological data applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle from scoping to customer launch.
• Translate requirements into technical specs and action plans for internal teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver forecasting solutions.
• Develop plans, schedules, backlogs, and status reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Lead customer meetings and technical discussions as advisor.
• Support forecast system enhancements and data integrations.
• Contribute technical input to proposals and demos.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication.
• Provide after-hours support during critical events.
