Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Princeton, NJ is seeking an AI/ML Scientist to advance real-time neurovascular imaging in our Neuroclinical AI team. You will develop algorithms for device detection, 2D/3D fusion, and robust models that run on clinical hardware.

Collaborating with clinicians and imaging scientists, you will translate clinical needs into data, annotate data, validate models, and contribute to IP and publications while staying current with state-of-the-art AI and high-performance computing.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in AI/ML development (industry or academic).
• Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience developing and validating machine learning models for medical imaging or computer vision applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and clinical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Developing AI algorithms for real-time detection and tracking of interventional devices in live fluoroscopy and angiography sequences.
• Developing 2D/3D fusion and registration methods that bring pre-procedural and intra-procedural imaging into the live view.
• Building foundation models for interventional and neurovascular imaging with real-time latency.
• Building interventional digital twins and simulators for synthetic data generation and training device navigation agents.
• Translating clinical requirements for neurointerventional workflows into data and model performance criteria.
• Performing validation and statistical evaluation of AI algorithms, including accuracy, robustness, and latency.
• Coordinating data collection, annotation, model development, and validation across projects.
• Contributing to IP generation and peer-reviewed research with clinical and technical stakeholders.
• Proposing and driving new AI/ML initiatives in image-guided neurointervention.
• Staying current with state-of-the-art technologies and HPC architectures.
