Job summary

Coinflow in Chicago is seeking an experienced MLOps Engineer to own the platform that scores every transaction in real time. You will design and operate the inference layer, build robust ML pipelines, and ensure safe, auditable deployments with telemetry and controls.

You’ll work with Python, TypeScript/Node, and AI-native tooling to deploy models, manage feature stores, and integrate external fraud/risk vendors. A bias toward shipping is valued in this fast-paced fintech.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in MLOps or ML infrastructure, ideally fintech/regulatory
• Production models with real-time latency and uptime requirements
• Strong Python and production engineering habits; comfortable with TypeScript/Node
• Hands-on experience with ML pipeline and serving tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex, BentoML, Feast)
• Solid infrastructure skills: containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud
• Data engineering chops: build feature pipelines over operational and streaming data
• Experience monitoring production models: drift, calibration, and tying metrics to outcomes
• Familiarity with fraud, risk modeling, and explaining model behavior to non-ML stakeholders
• Comfort with AI-native tooling (Claude Code) or eagerness to start
• Bias toward shipping: deliver a working v1 of a model pipeline today

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Model Serving: build and operate the inference layer with tight latency budgets
• ML Pipelines & Feature Store: own training, validation, and deployment pipelines end to end
• Model Deployment & Rollout: versioning, registries, canary rollouts, and one-click rollback
• Monitoring & Drift Detection: track latency, score distributions, feature drift, and outcomes
• Third-Party Model Integration: eval external vendors and compare performance
• Merchant-Facing Risk Tooling: power the data behind merchant risk products
