Job summary

Lyft is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Fulfillment team and lead the design, development, and deployment of real-time ML systems for matching riders and drivers.

The role requires translating state-of-the-art research into production-ready solutions, collaborating with ML engineers, data scientists, and software engineers, and delivering data-driven improvements at scale in a hybrid in-office setting in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of ML modeling experience.
• Experience with production ML systems and inference pipelines.
• Strong Python/Golang coding skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy real-time ML models for production.
• Develop feature pipelines, model training workflows, and serving infrastructure.
• Evaluate ML system performance against business KPIs, run experiments, and iterate.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to align ML initiatives with business goals.
• Write production-level code and participate in code reviews.
