Job summary

Trideum Corporation seeks a Software Integration & Middleware Engineer to design, develop, and sustain high-performance middleware for a complex Army simulation environment. You will bridge the DE Environment with Government systems like OneSAF, enabling real-time interoperability, deterministic data exchange, and scalable distributed simulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in high-performance middleware and real-time distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, DDS, ZeroMQ, gRPC, and related middleware tech.
• Hands-on experience with Linux SDN tools and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, package, and maintain software bridges that translate, route, and synchronize data among federated systems.
• Translate SE artifacts and SysML diagrams into running applications with the systems engineering team.
• Build protocol adapters supporting C++, Python, DDS, ZeroMQ, and gRPC for real-time communication.
• Investigate network throttling, TAP/TUN devices, tc/NetEm, and SDN-based routing constructs.
• Integrate middleware with virtualized DE Environment components and DoD interfaces.
• Ensure low-latency, high-throughput messaging across simulation environments with reliability.
• Develop automated tests and CI pipelines to validate performance and interoperability across interfaces.
