Job summary

Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA seeks an MES Engineer to own the MES infrastructure for OpsCenter and MEAS, enabling real-time production control and analytics across multiple fab sites.

You will design, implement, and maintain servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and automation to support high availability and operational visibility. Strong MES, Windows/OS/400, and semiconductor industry experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/EE or related field and/or equivalent experience
• 5–10 years hands-on MES platform experience (Siemens OpsCenter and MESA)
• Proficiency with enterprise-class Windows/OS/400 environments
• Six years of experience in the magnetic recording head, HDD, or semiconductor industry

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain MES software and infrastructure for high availability
• Program in SQL, scripting, HTML, Web services and object-oriented programming concepts, with strong knowledge of database management
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, IQ/OQ, validation documents and change management records
• Daily monitoring for systems and resolve issues; work with external vendors as required
• Respond to inquiries from team members, managers, or departments
• Overtime may be required contingent on business needs
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
