Job summary

NASCAR in Concord, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Engineer, Event Race Live Applications to shape real-time technology platforms powering race operations and data distribution.

Develop, modify, and implement complex software using C# .NET, Node.js, and Go; design high-throughput streaming systems; manage the race data platform on AWS with WebSocket infrastructure and scalability.

Lead, mentor, and collaborate across teams to drive reliability, performance, and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with enterprise applications.
• Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Node.js, AWS services, and modern architecture.
• Experience designing real-time, high-volume data streaming systems and WebSocket tech.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor others, and influence engineering direction.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support high-throughput, low-latency streaming systems.
• Develop and maintain the race data platform, including WebSocket infrastructure and subscriber management.
• Build and operate scalable, containerized applications in AWS with reliability and performance.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance metrics for system health.
• Lead software testing, troubleshoot, and resolve critical technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and strategy.
