NASCAR is seeking an experienced Engineer, Event Race Live Applications to shape real-time technology platforms powering race operations and data distribution. Based in Concord, NC, you will lead scalable, low-latency applications and streaming systems while driving reliability and performance for live events.

You will design cloud-based solutions, build WebSocket infrastructure, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and implement complex software applications using C#, .NET, Node.js, and Go
  • Design, build, and support high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines and real-time streaming systems
  • Develop and maintain the race data platform, including services, WebSocket infrastructure, subscriber management, and real-time data delivery
  • Build and operate scalable, containerized applications in AWS, ensuring availability, resiliency, and performance
  • Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance metrics to maintain health and reliability
  • Lead software testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and technical strategy

NASCAR is seeking an experienced Engineer, Event Race Live Applications to: Help shape the real-time technology platforms that power NASCAR race operations and data distribution. What You'll Do
  • Develop, modify, and implement complex software applications using modern technologies including C# .NET, Node.js, and Go.
  • Design, build, and support high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines and real-time streaming systems.
  • Develop and maintain the race data platform, including services, WebSocket infrastructure, subscriber management, and real-time data delivery.
  • Build and operate scalable, containerized applications in AWS, ensuring availability, resiliency, and performance.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of software development experience with enterprise-level applications.
  • Expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Node.js, AWS services, and modern software architecture.
  • Experience designing and supporting real-time, high-volume data streaming systems and WebSocket technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects, provide mentorship, and influence engineering direction.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSD, Microsoft Azure Developer, or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15%, including weekends, as business needs require.
