The Engineering Applications Department (EAD) is seeking a Real‑time Launch Operations Software and Data Engineer to develop next generation software products and integrated enterprise capabilities that provide mission support through real‑time processing and archiving of launch vehicle telemetry data. You will be a member of a team building a scalable ingestion and processing data pipeline architecture. EAD supports pre‑launch, day‑of‑launch, sub‑system, and major system tests for the Atlas V, Vulcan, Blue Origin New Glenn, and SpaceX Falcon launch vehicles as a component of the Spacelift Telemetry Acquisition and Reporting System (STARS). STARS is a mission critical capability used to certify the launch readiness of DoD and NRO space systems.
ISCD staff leverage cutting‑edge information system technologies, including elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real‑time operating systems, and advanced visualization frameworks, combined with expertise in software architecture, AI, and cybersecurity to deliver high‑performance systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.
You will work closely with software engineers and launch vehicle analysts to engineer innovative solutions to meet our customer needs.
This is a full‑time position based in El Segundo, CA, which requires 100% onsite work.
The ideal candidate will be an active team member developing novel software products with an opportunity to engage cross‑organizationally potentially spanning data architectures, cloud migration, modeling & simulation, data science (AI/ML), advanced visualizations, mixed reality, and embedded systems.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade‑based pay range for this job is $86,600.00 – $129,800.00 per year.
