Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a GNSS Positioning Engine Software Engineer to design, develop, test and optimize real-time embedded GNSS positioning software in C/C++.

You will implement and refine algorithms (WLS, KF/EKF, PVT) and process GNSS measurements across multi-frequency systems, while collaborating with GNSS systems, measurement, sensor, hardware, and test teams to deliver accurate, robust positioning for mobile and IoT platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering or related work experience (or 1+ year with Master's/PhD).
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; experience in embedded/real-time software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and optimize real-time embedded GNSS positioning software.
• Implement and optimize GNSS positioning algorithms such as WLS, KF/EKF, and PVT estimation.
• Process GNSS measurements (pseudorange, Doppler, carrier-phase) and corrections.
• Develop GNSS/INS and multi-sensor fusion algorithms with inertial sensors.
• Collaborate across GNSS systems engineers, measurement engine, hardware, and test teams.
• Analyze and improve accuracy, robustness, convergence time, and reliability in challenging environments.
• Optimize software for CPU, memory, latency, and power within a multi-threaded ARM-based RTOS.
