Grid Dynamics in New York is seeking a front-end engineer to build real-time FX risk UI for intraday risk reporting, using React and TypeScript. You will own features from requirements gathering with trading desks to production release, delivering fast, accurate visuals for live trading decisions.

You will collaborate with an established engineering team, optimize UI performance for high-frequency data, and contribute to modernization of legacy risk applications.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, with a track record of shipping production-grade front-end apps.
• Experience building real-time or streaming data UIs with low latency.
• Experience integrating with server-side APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Risk UI Development: Build and refine responsive React/TypeScript UIs for real-time intraday risk reporting on FX Options.
• High-Frequency Data Visualization: Design fast-moving risk views that stay performant as data updates during trading hours.
• Trader & User Collaboration: Gather requirements and iterate UI functionality based on live feedback from desks and system owners.
• End-to-End Ownership: Drive changes through design, review, development, testing, and production deployment.
• Legacy Modernization: Help transition front-end capabilities away from legacy intraday risk applications.
