Pinnacle Group (Pinnacle Technical Resources) seeks a Lead Frontend Architect in New York to drive hands-on React development and enterprise UI architecture for an equities trading risk platform.

You will lead a technical team, collaborate with traders and risk managers, and craft scalable UI components for a data-intensive environment with real-time and historical P&L views.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of frontend solutions experience (Angular/React, NodeJS, JS frameworks).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong experience in managing User Interfaces for data intensive platforms.
• Expertise in OO design, design patterns, architecture and application integration.
• Experience architecting scalable apps for 1000+ users.

• This is the most appropriate title because the role requires hands-on React development, enterprise UI architecture, technical leadership, and experience building data-intensive trading applications.

Job Description:

• Client is developing a risk application spanning the entire Global Institutional Equity Division front office.
• This application presents real time and historic risk and P&L to traders and risk managers, enable drill down into risk and P&L detail, pivot the data in numerous ways, and interact with other trading tools in the front office.
• The application is being built in React with a GigaSpaces middle tier. The GUI is to be highly configurable and thin, enabling a fast turnaround on new panels for different use cases.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of postacademic work experience with frontend solutions (Angular and/or React, nodeJS, JS frameworks)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong experience in managing User Interfaces for data intensive platforms
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Design patterns, Architecture and Application Integration
• Strong experience in architecting scalable applications that can support 1000+ users at a time
• Comfortable spending part of the time on the trading desk to help traders, solicit feedback, and advocate for the platform once familiar with capabilities
• Handson experience with distributed tech stack with modern tools of development
• Handson experience with core dev-ops tooling and best practices and manage this at a platform level
• Handson experience for managing large UI products from delivery, code-quality and maintenance perspective
• Handson experience with automated test frameworks - Cypress, Jasmine, Karma, Playwright, Protractor etc. & Test-Driven Development
• Experience in managing the deployments and build frameworks
• Experience in managing the large codebase/Monorepos supporting development of the UI platform, with large number of developers contributing continuously to the platform.
• Experience in building and owning common reusable components for UIs
• Experience in collaborating with global stakeholders for product development
• Ability to manage the UX designers and translate UX designs into actual product implementation
• Ability to coordinate across large team and ensure product development per multi-year roadmap;
• Consistent track record for successful delivery of enterprise wide platforms
• Ability to coach and mentor the talent on development best practices with new tech stacks frontend development and cloud esp.
• Ability to adapt to the new developments in the UI space and to keep platform technically updated and modern.
