Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida is seeking a DSP Software Engineering internship to join our embedded systems team. You will contribute to real-time DSP algorithms and low-level drivers for our wireless products, working closely with an Agile/Scrum team and mentors to expand your practical skills.

The role targets students pursuing Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering, with a bias toward C/C++, Matlab, Python, and Linux.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of DSP and/or digital communication.
• C/C++ experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine learning is a plus.
• Experience with Matlab, Python, or Perl is a plus.
• Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a plus.
• Experience with Linux and embedded development/debug tools (emulators/JTAG) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement cutting edge real-time software for DSP algorithms and low-level device drivers to be used in wireless products.
• Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment.
• Find, track, and repair device software defects.
• Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests.
