Job summary

Pedernales Electric Cooperative seeks an experienced supervisor to manage real-time distribution operations in Texas. You will oversee switching, tagging, and restoration, coordinating with the Distribution Operations Center and field crews to maintain reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in electric distribution, an associate degree in engineering tech or related field, and strong knowledge of SCADA/ADMS/OMS platforms, NERC policies, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSI SCADA, ADMS and OMS platforms.
• Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical theory.
• Knowledge of electrical switching and tagging principles and requirements.
• Knowledge of NERC policies and procedures.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to analyze data and resolve problems on the distribution grid.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct switching and tagging operations.
• Write, check, and issue clearances to field personnel.
• Monitor loads, outages, and restoration activities; report accordingly.
• Dispatch field personnel and communicate with dispatchers and engineers.
• Operate SCADA, ADMS and OMS to control the grid and restore service.
• Prepare switching orders and ensure adherence to policies.
• Maintain accurate outage, substation, and system records.
