Job summary

General Matter seeks a Data Visualization Software Engineer to design and implement visualization interfaces for test stands and production systems. You will work at the intersection of real-time frontend engineering and industrial data systems, delivering high-throughput, live telemetry UIs for situational awareness and post-run analysis.

You will help define architecture, rendering standards, and UX across R&D, manufacturing/test, and plant operations in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required.
5+ years building real-time or data-intensive UIs with production quality.
Strong experience in TypeScript/React and Python.
Experience with high-performance rendering and streaming data under load.
Experience in safety-critical, on-premise environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain high-performance live charts and dashboards for high-channel telemetry.
Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for monitoring, control, alarming, and visibility.
Build real-time streaming UIs and post-run tools for cross-run analysis.
Define architecture, rendering standards, testing strategies, and practices across the stack.
Collaborate with data, controls, and test-automation teams to consume streaming interfaces.
Lead debugging and performance improvements across the rendering-to-data stack.
