Job summary

Seerist is seeking a software engineer to join the Collections & Alerts team in Reston. You will design and implement high-volume data pipelines and event-driven architectures that feed real-time intelligence for security and risk teams across government and commercial customers.

You will work with analysts and product groups to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability, leveraging TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and AWS services in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-volume, low-latency data pipelines.
• Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js/Python in production.
• Hands-on AWS (SQS, S3, ECR, CDK) and cloud cost awareness.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and querying.
• Familiarity with search and caching (OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Redis).

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-volume data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Architect event-driven systems and optimize queries and schemas.
• Instrument services for observability and monitor production issues.
• Collaborate with analysts and product teams to meet performance needs.
