Job summary

Stanley Reid is recruiting for a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain real-time ETL pipelines using Java and Apache Storm. The role focuses on scalable data processing, transforming streams into insights, and ensuring the reliability of data feeds within a DoD/IC context.

The successful candidate will contribute across the full software lifecycle, from debugging to testing, in a Linux environment, with opportunities for growth and exposure to cutting-edge data technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 2 years of software engineer experience, or Master's degree, or 4 years of experience.
• Experience with the Linux CLI and scripting with Bash/Python.
• Recent Java development in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with real-time streaming concepts and big data ecosystems (Storm/Spark/Flink/NiFi).
• Experience with GitLab CI and Docker.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira/Confluence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, real-time ETL pipelines.
• Use Apache Storm and Java to process large-scale data streams.
• Transform raw data into actionable insights for teams.
• Ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of data feeds.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle: debugging, integrating, testing.
