Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, network security, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention.
• Ability to analyze security alerts, network traffic, and log data to identify suspicious activity.
• Familiarity with network protocols and packet capture analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize unusual patterns in network activity.
• Ability to document technical findings clearly and communicate security concerns.

Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring and Threat Detection: monitor CSSP intrusion detection and analyze security alerts and traffic to identify threats.
• Network Traffic Analysis: analyze network traffic, packet captures, and logs to investigate intrusions.
• Security Tool Configuration: assist with updating detection signatures and configuring monitoring tools.
• Operational Coordination and Reporting: communicate findings and document investigations.
