Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Software Engineer on the Core Data team to build foundational systems that capture, persist, move and retrieve data from our autonomous fleet. You will work on real-time data flows across multiple software and hardware layers, shaping the architecture of Zoox’s vehicle data infrastructure.

In this role you will tackle high-speed data challenges, design scalable storage and retrieval mechanisms, and own problems from inception through rollout while collaborating with engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and systems programming.
• Ability to design and reason about real-time, high-throughput data systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical architecture and implementation of Zoox’s on-vehicle data systems.
• Design and develop reliable, high-performance data capture, storage, and retrieval components.
• Own complex problems from investigation through design, validation, and rollout.
• Collaborate across teams through requirements definition, design reviews, and code reviews.
