Job summary

Ormat Technologies is seeking an Energy Storage Operator to oversee the real-time operations of our battery storage portfolio. The role includes dispatch decisions based on economic and technical constraints, coordination with grid operators, and maintaining system reliability and documentation.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to work extended/rotating hours, and possess strong English communication and Excel skills. Industry experience and certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to fulfill storm/event duty requirements and extended shifts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Ability to read/write English and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage real-time operations of battery portfolio and dispatch based on conditions.
• Coordinate with ISOs, Scheduling Coordinators, and asset management.
• Implement real-time actions to ensure stable, reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System.
• Monitor market information to identify dispatching and trading opportunities.
• Maintain documentation for processes and pursue process/tool improvements.
