Job summary

Bose Corporation is advancing AI-powered audio processing to run in real-time on devices, tackling sound event detection, localization, and multimodal context understanding. You will work with ML, DSP, software, and psychoacoustics experts to prototype and implement new algorithms for context-aware audio experiences.

Education requirements include a graduate degree in ML/CS/EE or equivalent research experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in machine learning, computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Experience with deep learning models in PyTorch and real-time deployment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to publish or present results.

Responsibilities

• Research, prototype, train, and evaluate novel audio understanding models for real-time deployment on devices.
• Develop robust methods for sound event detection and localization, anomaly detection, and context-aware interpretation.
• Explore multimodal approaches combining microphone signals with video/IMU data.
• Build data pipelines, evaluation protocols, and demonstrations measuring accuracy, robustness, latency, and compute cost.
• Collaborate with DSP and software engineers to integrate models into proof-of-concept systems and products.
