Job summary

NV Energy seeks a seasoned Distribution System Operations engineer to perform real-time analytical and engineering services for outage identification, management, notifications, and reporting. You will work within a 24/7 environment to classify outages, develop ETRs, and support system restoration.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of industry experience as a licensed PE, or 8+ years in engineering without PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred; if not licensed, 8+ years engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform real-time analytical evaluations on outage notifications to determine scope and cause.
• Develop ESTIMATED TIME OF RESTORATION (ETR) and update it as conditions change.
• Coordinate with metering and call center leadership to improve data flow to customers.
