Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks an entry level professional to support right of way projects throughout Georgia, conducting title research, preparing land acquisition forms, and establishing current market values for subject land.

The role includes noncomplex negotiations with landowners to secure properties and relocation assistance under the Uniform Act, along with aiding bid proposals, project estimates, and contract drafts. Significant field work and travel across the state are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BS/BA in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• GA Real Estate Salesperson License or ability to obtain within six months.
• GA Appraisal License preferred.
• Real estate experience and familiarity with titles and legal descriptions.
• Land use and acquisition coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct title research.

• Complete non-complex relocation assistance work as required in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, As amended (Uniform Act)
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, project estimates, purchase orders, specifications, and drafts contract documents for projects

Required Skills

• Valid GA Real Estate Salesperson License; OR in the process of obtaining; OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment

Working Conditions

Some work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Significant field work (50% or more) is required where work may be conducted outside in heat, cold, wet, humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.

Work location is flexible but travel throughout the state of Georgia will be required for the job.
