Job Opportunity: Real Estate Attorney

A business litigation law firm based in Pittsburgh is seeking an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The firm's clients include Fortune 200 companies, large privately held companies, municipal entities, small businesses, and partnerships across various industries. The attorneys focus on practical and efficient solutions tailored to each client.

Location: Philadelphia office

Position: Attorney in the Product Liability practice group

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating complex documents related to leasing, acquisition, disposition, and property development.
  2. Draft and negotiate documents such as purchase agreements, leases, partnership agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  3. Draft and negotiate entity governance documents.
  4. Review and analyze title abstracts, title insurance commitments, policies, property surveys, deeds, and engineering reports.
  5. Conduct legal research and analyze issues to provide effective solutions.
  6. Represent clients in zoning review, approval matters, and real estate tax appeals.
  7. Support litigation involving real estate matters.
  8. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  9. Stay informed about relevant real estate laws and regulations.
  10. Conduct due diligence and title examinations.
  11. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  12. Handle other real estate-related legal matters as they arise.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  1. At least 3-5 years of substantive experience in transactional real estate law.
  2. Excellent academic credentials, strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
  3. Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple files, and prioritize deadlines.
  4. Knowledge of land use, planning, and real estate tax matters.
  5. Knowledge of construction delivery systems and project agreements.
  6. Proficiency in title underwriting processes.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  8. Organized, forward-thinking, and a team player.
  9. Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment.
