Job summary

White & Case LLP seeks a junior to mid-level real estate associate for its New York and Chicago offices. You will handle domestic and international real estate transactions, financings, and disputes across asset classes.

Strong drafting, communication, and time-management skills are essential. Ideal candidates hold a JD from an accredited law school, at least 3 years of large-firm real estate experience, and bar admission in the applying city.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school; LLM or foreign equivalent acceptable.
Minimum of 3 years of general real estate experience in a large firm setting.
Experience representing borrowers and lenders in financing transactions across asset classes.
Due diligence including lease, title, and survey reviews; drafting reports.

Responsibilities

Represent domestic and international investors, owners, developers, operators, lenders and institutions in real estate transactions.
Draft and negotiate documentation for real estate transactions including purchase/sale, leases and finance documents.
Advise on real estate-related acquisition, disposition, leasing, JV and financing matters.
Conduct and coordinate due diligence for real estate transactions; financing and JVs.
Support other practice groups with respect to real estate matters.
Ensure clients' interests are protected.
