D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Title Examiner to evaluate and interpret legal documents, and to assist in preparing title commitments and reports. The right candidate will reconcile title issues and support escrow operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include compiling and examining documents, preparing subdivision files, and providing timely responses to inquiries from escrow staff and counsel. A vehicle and valid license are required for this on-site role in Texas.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of escrow/title agency experience.
• Working knowledge of real estate financing, escrow, title, and conveyance terminology; title insurance requirements and regulations; and underwriting procedures.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and compile documents from plant databases.
• Examine documents from the plant database for sufficiency in all types of transactions.
• Prepare and maintain subdivision base files and templates.
• Provide administrative support in the preparation of title commitments.
• Prepare title reports and abstractor certificates.
• Answer questions from escrow/central operations personnel, outside counsel, and underwriting; and produce any follow-up in a timely manner.
• Prepare attorney objection letter responses upon request.
• Provide administrative assistance with title commitment updates as needed.
• Perform survey reviews upon request.
• Participate in company-sponsored seminars, meetings, and training.
• Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
• Ability to work overtime.
