THE POSITION

Join the Department of Transportation as a Real Estate Technician and help support important public projects across the region! DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports public projects by assisting with real estate negotiations, property research, and related field and office activities. As a Real Estate Technician, you will perform the following duties:

• Negotiation Support: Assist with discussions about property acquisitions, relocation matters, and claim resolutions
• Property Research: Review deeds, titles, and related documents to determine project impacts
• Plan Explanation: Explain project plans and answer questions about policies and procedures
• Claim File Management: Prepare and maintain accurate claim portfolios and supporting materials
• Right of Way Review: Check right of way documents and coordinate corrections when needed
• Program Monitoring: Monitor outdoor advertising and junkyard sites for compliance with state requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
• Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Engineering Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of technical real estate experience and an associate degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• All positions require the possession of an active Class C driver's license or equivalent.
