Job summary

The City of High Point seeks a Real Estate Coordinator to manage the right of way program, acquire rights of way and easements for city projects, and serve as liaison with private property owners. Work under the City Attorney and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure compliant real property transactions.

Qualified candidates have degrees in related fields, licenses as NC broker, notary status or ability to obtain, and strong negotiation, drafting, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in real estate, business administration, or related field.
• North Carolina real estate broker license is required or must be obtained.
• Notary public in NC or able to become one within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a comprehensive right of way program compliant with laws and guidelines.
• Coordinate real property acquisition and disposition for City projects.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, maps, surveys, and legal descriptions.
• Draft offers to purchase, contracts, leases, deeds, rights of way, and easements.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Present professionally before City Council when requested.
