Real Estate Representative II
Under the supervision of the President of Real Estate, the Acquisition Representative will negotiate, investigate, and coordinate property acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with President of Real Estate on property exchange transactions.
- Prepare purchase and sale agreements in accordance with company policy.
- Establish escrow by reviewing title requirements, preparing deeds, and reviewing closing documents.
- Evaluate offers received and negotiate price and terms with prospective buyers or their agent.
- Coordinate location analysis of potential acquisitions as assigned.
- Determine, through appraisers and local brokers, property valuations using appropriate appraisal techniques.
- Negotiate purchase price and terms with seller or broker for purchase transactions and recommend modifications as necessary.
- Order and evaluate surveys, appraisals, soil test and environmental assessments.
- Prepare acquisitions, sales or surplus declaration proposals containing all pertinent information.
- Represent AMERCO Real Estate Company and U-Haul International in a professional and positive light to outside brokerage companies, corporate real estate representatives and industry associations.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in real estate transactions
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate or similar field like business
- Arizona Real Estate License (preferred)
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information
- Demonstrates initiative, leadership, team building skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, team environment
