$85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Schedule: 4 days a week in office & (Flexible on in & out times)

Salary: up to $95K + bonus

Culture: Centered around work-life balance and collaboration. This position is a new addition to the team, a dual role where you will be exposed to corporate and property based accounting.

Position Summary:

Prepare and maintain fixed asset and job costing subledgers; journal vouchers for entry into the general ledger; general ledger account reconciliations; assist in month-end closing of assigned properties, corporate and development entities; generate reports; and assist with projects as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of journal vouchers and reports for fixed asset, lease administration, and general ledger systems in conjunction with maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure fixed asset system adhere to company policy and procedures related to GAAP methodology and useful life.
• Work with Property Management and Development teams to ensure accuracy and adherence to capital expenditure policy for job costing system and reporting.
• Provide support for the month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs of the organization as directed.
• Provide support and transactional accounting for corporate/service company entities
• Prepare analysis to support and adhere organizational accounting policies
• Prepare financial reports, conduct analysis, and adhere to organizational financial policies.
• Support management with audits, resolving discrepancies, and preparing data for decision making process.

Qualifications:

Seeking a detail oriented, analytically focused candidate who can contribute by learning systems and accounting practices.

• 2+ years of relevant accounting team experience
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, knowledge of Property Accounting software a plus
• Understanding of US GAAP as it relates to real estate
• Excellent communication, integrity, and ethical behavior traits
• Willingness to learn, take on additional responsibilities and work within a team environment
