Job summary

Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is seeking an entry-level Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in our Real Estate, Construction & Development Service Line. You will review agreements, coordinate due diligence, and communicate with various parties involved in transactions.

The ideal candidate is pursuing or has obtained their paralegal certification and is proficient with Microsoft Word. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt role based in our Columbus, Ohio office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word.
• Possess a team mentality with the ability to collaboratively work with others.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize real estate documents including purchase and sale agreements and leases.
• Assist attorneys and other paralegals with transactional due diligence.
• Communicate with title companies, survey firms, property inspectors and other consultants.
• Other support-related tasks provided by the attorneys.
