Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a Real Estate, Land Use & Environmental Paralegal to support attorneys on commercial real estate transactions, focusing on title and survey review, due diligence, and closing coordination. The role also covers land use and environmental matters with attention to detail and multitasking across matters.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of CRE paralegal experience, strong title & ALTA/NSPS survey skills, and familiarity with title insurance products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate.
• 7+ years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate transactions.
• Experience reviewing title commitments and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Familiarity with title insurance products and closing processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed title review and analysis for transactions.
• Identify title exceptions and flag issues for attorney review.
• Prepare title objections letters and manage cure items through closing.
• Coordinate with title companies, escrow agents, surveyors and clients.
• Support leasing matters and prepare organizational documents.
• Maintain transaction timelines and deadlines.
