Overview

We are looking for a ROCK STAR closer / paralegal to join our team! We are seeking an experienced closer / paralegal to manage client relationships and real estate transactions, who can work autonomously but is also a team player.

Our ideal candidate is someone that has experience closing real estate transactions from cradle to grave and has the skills and character needed to manage high volume and stressful situations. Due to the unique nature of the clientele, candidates must possess the customer service skills needed to manage expectations, while being able to address challenging situations in a professional, yet direct manner.

We are looking for someone that has great communication and project management skills; someone that is passionate about the client experience and cares about our reputation and relationship with our clients; someone that is excited to contribute to our overall success!

The main role of the Paralegal / Closer is to facilitate all aspects of the purchase process including title production, title curative, HUD production, scheduling and disbursement, as well as coordinate with clients, buyers, and sellers, to prepare files, ensuring a timely and legally binding closing transaction. This is a client facing role, so the ability to nurture relationships is a must! This aspect of the job also requires the Paralegal / Closer to be able to easily switch tasks from working on files to picking up the phone to answer client questions.

Must be a SC Notary or willing to become one (fees will be covered by the firm)

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years minimum of relevant work experience
  • Skilled at project management and well organized
  • Works well autonomously but enjoys being a part of a team
  • Quick learner on computer programs
  • Thick skinned, but well tempered
  • Can handle fast-paced, high stress environment
  • REO experience preferred / a plus
  • Team player

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates all aspects of purchase process including title production, title curative, HUD production, scheduling and disbursement
  • Keep title, agents, buyers and sellers apprised on all issues that could cause potential delays
  • Initiates and manages contact with agents and / or buyer, seller, and other parties to the transaction
  • Requests relevant closing documentation
  • Prepares settlement statements, title documents, and attorney disclosures
  • Conducts initial review of loan package and documents for accuracy
  • Willingly performs other duties as assigned
