The candidate will handle sophisticated commercial real estate and real estate finance matters, collaborate with attorneys, and participate throughout the transaction lifecycle with a progressive hybrid schedule after onboarding.

Qualifications

• At least two years of commercial real estate paralegal or related transactional experience.
• Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions and closings.
• Hands-on title review experience required.
• UCC search and filing experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare closing binders and organize transaction files.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial real estate and finance transactions concurrently.
• Support transactions from LOI through closing and post-closing.
• Prepare closing checklists and binders; coordinate closings with lenders and title companies.
• Prepare contracts, leases, and loan documents for attorney review.
• Assist with LLC formations; file documents with the Texas Secretary of State.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a highly respected Houston law firm to recruit an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for a newly created position within its growing commercial real estate practice.

This role was created because of continued growth and increasing transactional volume. The selected paralegal will join a collaborative group of experienced attorneys handling sophisticated commercial real estate and real estate finance matters.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive transactional paralegal who enjoys substantive responsibility, complex work, direct interaction with attorneys and clients, and involvement throughout the complete transaction lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Real Estate Transactions and Closings

• Manage multiple commercial real estate and finance transactions concurrently
• Support transactions from the letter-of-intent stage through closing and post-closing
• Prepare and maintain closing checklists
• Prepare closing binders and transaction files
• Coordinate closings with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and title companies
• Attend and assist with closings as needed
• Monitor deadlines, deliverables, and transaction status

Title, Survey, and Due Diligence

• Conduct and coordinate title review
• Review surveys and related real estate documentation
• Perform UCC searches and assist with UCC filings
• Coordinate due diligence reviews and investigations
• Organize and track due diligence materials
• Identify missing documentation and assist with follow-up items

Transaction Document Preparation

• Prepare contracts and lease agreements for attorney review
• Assist with real estate secured loan documents
• Prepare transaction-related certificates, statements, amendments, and forms
• Work within client loan origination systems when required
• Edit, organize, and finalize transaction documents and PDFs

Entity Formation and Filings

• Assist with forming LLCs and other business entities
• Prepare and file documents with the Texas Secretary of State
• Coordinate county clerk filings
• Prepare certificates, amendments, statements, and related entity documents
• Maintain organized entity and transaction records

Client and Practice Support

• Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, title companies, opposing counsel, and other transaction participants
• Support attorneys with transaction workflow and matter management
• Record billable time accurately and promptly
• Prioritize assignments across a busy and changing transaction docket
• Provide responsive support wherever needed by the real estate practice

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of commercial real estate paralegal or closely related transactional experience
• Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions and closings
• Hands‑on title review experience
• UCC search and filing experience
• Experience preparing closing binders
• Entity formation experience
• Secretary of State filing experience
• Strong organizational and transaction‑management skills
• Ability to manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, responsive, and client‑service‑focused approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Real estate finance or commercial lending experience
• Prior law firm experience
• Experience working in a corporate legal department on sophisticated real estate transactions
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant legal experience
• Certified Legal Assistant or paralegal certification
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, document automation systems, and Citrix‑based platforms
• Experience working in a billable‑hour environment

Compensation and Bonus

• Base salary of $80,000 to $110,000, depending on experience

Progressive Hybrid Schedule
