We are working with a prestigious Am Law 50 firm that has an immediate need for a real estate leasing attorney (3 or more years of experience) to join its market-leading practice. This firm is a global powerhouse with nearly 100 offices, and this practice has earned numerous accolades for its work in the real estate industry. Attorneys in this practice represent national and multinational companies, lenders, developers, and institutional lenders in a full range of real estate matters, and this group has earned a tier 1 ranking in real estate from The Legal 500 for 8 consecutive years!

Responsibilities:
· Directly interact with clients, opposing counsel, and brokers to ensure successful negotiations and transactions
· Draft and negotiate commercial leases and related agreements, including term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and subordination, non-disturbance, and (SNDAs)
· Supervise and mentor junior attorneys on leasing matters

Required Qualifications:
· 3 or more years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements
· Extensive experience representing landlords in leasing transactions
· In-depth understanding of the commercial leasing market
· Experience handling leases for multiple property types, including office, retail, industrial, and life sciences
· Excellent negotiating, analytical and writing skills

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,000 – $250,000.
