Job summary

Teacher Retirement System of Texas is seeking a Real Estate Investment Associate to conduct advanced investments research and due diligence on potential opportunities. The role works with the Real Estate team and Investment Management Division to monitor and report on the portfolio.

You will review financials, market data, and partner relationships, supporting portfolio managers and senior staff with quantitative and qualitative analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college; MBA or related master's may substitute for one year of experience.
• Two years of full-time professional experience in private equity, real estate investments, or related data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs investment analysis for potential opportunities including principal investments and fund commitments.
• Provides written or oral reports of analysis and recommendations to Investments staff and management.
• Communicates analysis with portfolio managers and senior staff via reports and presentations.
• Performs due diligence research for potential real estate investments.
• Evaluates organization leadership, strategy, market opportunity, and financials.
