Job summary

Highpoint Capital Group in the San Fernando Valley is seeking an Analyst to join the acquisitions and investments team. You'll work directly with senior leadership and gain hands-on exposure to sourcing, underwriting, financing, and asset management of multi-tenant retail assets.

The role offers rapid responsibility on $20–$50MM opportunities, with hands-on modeling in Excel and interaction with brokers and lenders as the firm scales across new markets.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in mortgage brokerage, retail/investment sales brokerage, or similar transaction-facing role.
• Strong Excel skills for financial modeling, IRR/NPV, and sensitivity analysis.
• Familiarity with real estate deal structures; exposure to partnership waterfalls a plus.
• Comfortable being broker- and investor-facing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for acquisition opportunities ($20–$50MM deals) including DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivity, and return analyses.
• Analyze rent rolls, lease terms, tenant credit, and rollover risk on multi-tenant retail assets.
• Evaluate lease structures (NNN, CAM recoveries, expense reimbursements).
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal decision-making.
