Job summary

Orion Placement’s nationally respected real estate finance practice seeks an attorney with 2+ years of transactional experience to close sophisticated deals across the United States. You will represent lenders, capital providers, and borrowers, drafting and negotiating loan documents for construction, mezzanine, and equity financings with direct client exposure from day one.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of real estate finance transactional experience.
• Experience with construction financing and complex capital structures.
• Active bar license in the state of the office.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong academic credentials and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, capital providers, and borrowers in complex real estate finance transactions
• Draft and negotiate loan documents for construction, mezzanine, preferred equity, and structured financings
• Work on multi-tiered capital transactions and debt-like and equity investments
• Advise on distressed commercial real estate matters from a transactional perspective
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients throughout the full transaction lifecycle

• Join a nationally respected real estate finance practice closing sophisticated transactions across all 50 states
• Work on complex construction financing, multi-tiered capital stacks, preferred equity, and distressed real estate matters
• Get consistent one-on-one partner access with real client contact from day one
• Build depth on lender and capital provider-side work, with borrower-side exposure as well
• Strong bonus and profit-sharing potential on top of competitive base compensation

Location

Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC offices— Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office, supporting collaboration and flexibility.

Note

This role requires an active bar license in the state of the office applied to and a minimum of 2 years of directly relevant real estate finance transactional experience.
