Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, licenses, and other CRE documents.
  • Represent investors, developers, property owners, and businesses in CRE transactions.
  • Manage CRE transactions from due diligence to closing with coordination among all parties.
  • Conduct title, survey, zoning, and other due diligence and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, and counsel to facilitate transactions.
  • Advise clients on entities, ownership structures, and related transactional matters.
  • Work with corporate, tax, environmental, and litigation teams to provide practical legal solutions.

Education

J.D. from an accredited law school
PA Bar admission
NJ admission a plus

About The Role

The Allentown office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing Real Estate Practice Group.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, leasing, and development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with investors, developers, business owners, landlords, lenders, and other stakeholders while handling sophisticated transactions from initial structuring through closing.

The ideal candidate will be looking to take on increasing responsibility, build strong client relationships, and become an integral part of a collaborative and expanding practice serving clients throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, licenses, and other documents related to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Represent investors, developers, property owners, and businesses in connection with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing arrangements, and development projects.
  • Manage commercial real estate transactions from due diligence through closing, coordinating with all parties involved in the transaction.
  • Conduct title, survey, zoning, and other due diligence reviews and help identify and resolve transaction-related issues.
  • Work directly with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, and opposing counsel to facilitate successful transactions.
  • Assist clients with real estate investment, asset management, and portfolio growth initiatives.
  • Advise clients on business entities, ownership structures, joint ventures, operating agreements, and related transactional matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, tax, environmental, and litigation practices to provide practical, business-focused legal solutions.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 3–5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing transactions, and due diligence matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with land use and zoning matters is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar required; New Jersey admission is a plus.
  • Exposure to municipal work a plus
