Job summary

Victor is seeking a Real Estate E&O underwriter to join our growing team. The role is based in Bethesda, Maryland with flexibility for other U.S. locations, and a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days in the office each week.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of underwriting experience, and a P&C license (or ability to obtain within 90 days). Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of underwriting experience or transferable work experience.
• Licensure in P&C or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Profitably manage an existing portfolio of renewal business.
• Underwrite new opportunities daily.
• Evaluate client exposure to loss based on program eligibility.
• Use underwriting platform to price and communicate terms to brokers.
• Negotiate final terms and convey Victor value to brokers.
• Coordinate with carrier partners on bespoke coverages and pricing.
• Collaborate with in-house and outsourced support teams.
• Attend industry trade shows and travel 2–3 times annually.
