Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a highly motivated Debt Asset Management Associate to join our Miami-based real estate debt platform. This role oversees day-to-day asset management of a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate loans across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and other asset types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate debt asset management, underwriting, credit analysis, loan servicing, lending, or real estate investment management.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a portfolio of performing and transitional commercial real estate loans across major sectors.
• Review borrower financial reporting, operating statements, rent rolls, leasing reports, and business plans.
• Analyze loan performance against underwriting assumptions and identify risks.
• Maintain asset-level reporting and loan surveillance documentation.
• Track covenant compliance, reserves, maturity schedules, DSCRs, LTVs, and other credit metrics.
• Prepare quarterly and annual asset reviews and reports for lenders and sponsors.
• Coordinate with borrowers, sponsors, and service providers; participate in borrower meetings.
