Job summary

Atlanta Housing seeks a Planner II to support master planning and predevelopment activities within the Real Estate Planning and Development group. Responsibilities include feasibility assessments, site analysis, entitlements, and coordinating infrastructure design to deliver healthy, affordable communities.

The role requires five years of planning experience, strong knowledge of zoning and COA policies, and proficiency with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

  • Requires technical expertise in planning, real estate, and community development with knowledge of federal/state/local regulations.
  • Ability to perform complex quantitative and qualitative analysis with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading master plans, zoning requirements, and urban planning concepts; strong communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning work for real estate and community development projects, including site analysis, feasibility, due diligence, and master planning.
  • Coordinate planning activities, community engagement, and infrastructure design to deliver healthy, affordable, and sustainable communities.
  • Prepare vendor scopes, budgets, work plans, and contracts; manage timelines and milestones with cross-functional teams.
