Job summary

Compeer Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented real estate closing professional to process, close, fund and service secured transactions. You will verify title documents, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and ensure closings comply with regulations.

The role involves on-site work at the Eau Claire, WI office, with a hybrid-friendly approach and opportunities for professional development. A notary license and knowledge of title insurance are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Closing Agent License; Insurance Producer License preferred (or ability to obtain within twelve months).
• Commissioned Notary Public for the state (or ability to obtain within three months); e-notary may be required.
• Working knowledge of loan approval processes and requirements, real estate, legal, banking, security requirements and title insurance.
• Knowledge of legal descriptions and collateral documents for document preparation.
• Basic accounting and mathematical skills to calculate data, reconcile funds and determine payoffs.

Responsibilities

• Process, close, fund and service real estate secured transactions in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Verify title commitments, deeds, liens and related documents and ensure accurate closing statements.
• Coordinate with departments and external parties to order title commitments, appraisals and flood determinations.
• Assist in on-site and off-site closings, explain forms and obtain signatures as needed.
• Administer funding execution and proper booking and data maintenance.
• File legal documents with government entities to perfect lien positions.
• Support Lending Client Coordinators and service client relationships in the lending territory.
