Job summary

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Bookkeeper with our client located in Glencoe, IL. This is a newly created position to support a growing high-end residential and multifamily real estate development firm on Chicago’s North Shore.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting or Finance, demonstrates solid accounting fundamentals, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Real estate or construction industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and fast-paced work experience.
• Real estate or construction accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices and manage vendor payments.
• Maintain subcontractor compliance files including COIs, W-9s, and lien waivers.
• Maintain and reconcile job cost records to the general ledger.
• Assist with budgets, variance tracking, and construction draw documentation.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Track intercompany transactions.
• Process deposits and support AR, buyer payments, capital contributions, and HOA collections.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Support the Controller with lender reporting and financial packages.
